The Connecticut Tennis Circuit is now in our eleventh season of running our Tennis Challenge on the internet. The league, which has roots dating back 18 years, is the largest outdoor tennis league in the state.
CTC's CT Tennis Challenge is designed to attract current and former high school, college, local club and recreational players.
The league is recommended for novice (NTRP 2.5) to advanced (NTRP 5.0) players age 16 and older who can arrange their own transportation, play a match with someone at their level, know the rules & keep score. This includes players just learning the game to advanced local players who win local town or club tournaments.
You don't need an official NTRP rating to join. To help decide which level to signup for, you can rate yourself using this NTRP Rating guide.
The CT Tennis Challenge is designed to encourage steady, fresh and respectful competition. Match play determines rankings.
You are in control of your schedule. You control when you play, how often you play and where you play (public courts or private). You arrange or accept matches in contact with other players via telephone or email from ranked lists of registered players.
Play as much you want . There is no minimum or maximum matches or required places to play.
If you like playing tournaments, the CT Tennis Challenge is the perfect solution between tournaments to keep you match-tough.
It can also be more rewarding, as players earn prizes from league sponsors (see below) for frequency of play.
Only $30 for each additional event. About what it costs to play just one single-elimination tournament! You can get your entry fee back many times over in prizes. See below.
As you play, you build up activity points which are redeemed for prizes at the local pro shop sponsoring your conference.
Activity prizes include discount coupons, shirts, hats and professional tournament tickets. See our mail-in registration form for more details.
